About this loop

A softly banded Saturn turns inside rings computed from Voyager 2's measurements of the real rings: the faint C ring the planet shows through, the bright B ring, the Cassini Division and the A ring with the Encke gap, every ringlet as see-through as the real thing. The planet's shadow falls across the far side of the rings and the rings' shadow bands lie across the planet. The view drifts gently, with dark space around it.

Questions

How do they loop?

Every moving part repeats exactly every 20 seconds, so the last frame flows into the first with no jump. Drop the MP4 on a timeline and repeat it, or set your player to loop. In the After Effects project, Speed takes whole numbers (1, 2, 3) so faster versions still loop, and a comp extended to 40 seconds loops too.

What can I use them in?

Anything that plays an .mp4: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, OBS, ProPresenter or Resolume. The After Effects projects need After Effects 2023 or newer. No plugins.

Is there room for text?

Yes. Each loop keeps a calm, dark area: the planets sit to one side, the galaxy has dark space around it, the warp stays quiet in the center and the aurora keeps to the lower half.

Can I change the colors?

Yes, in After Effects. Each loop has three named colors, such as the three gas colors of the nebula or the ocean, city lights and atmosphere of the blue planet, plus Speed, Brightness, Grain and a Vignette switch, all on one CONTROLS layer.

Can I buy one loop?

No. The eight loops are sold as one pack. They're also included in LaunchFrame Unlimited.

Can I use them in client work?

Yes. Use them in videos, streams, events and client work, including monetized video. You can't resell or share the files themselves.
