About this template

Three lines typed with a human rhythm: uneven intervals, longer pauses after spaces and punctuation, and one mistyped key that gets backspaced and corrected (you can turn that off). A block cursor blinks when idle, scanlines and a slow refresh band run through the glow, and the outro erases fast and collapses to a power-off line.

Questions

Can I buy one template from the pack?

No. Retro-Tech Titles is sold as one pack of all five templates. It's also included in LaunchFrame Unlimited.

What fonts do they use?

IBM Plex Mono and Montserrat, both free under the SIL Open Font License. The font files are in the download: install them before you open the templates.

Will they play back smoothly in Premiere?

The split-flap board is the heaviest template we make, with about 950 expressions and 72 3D layers, so expect slower scrubbing and render previews over it. The other four play back like any template.

Can I trim them to any length?

Yes. Intros and outros are protected, so they play at full speed and only the hold changes. The flip clock runs in real time, so trim it to the length you need. In scrolling mode, stretching the LED sign also slows its scroll; static mode isn't affected.

What do I need?

Premiere Pro 2023 or newer for the .mogrt files, or After Effects 2023 or newer for the project. No plugins and no footage to relink: everything is built from shapes and text.

Can I use them in client work and monetized videos?

Yes. Use them in unlimited personal and client videos, including monetized, broadcast and paid projects. You can't resell or share the template files themselves.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Email hello@launchframe.io within 14 days and I'll fix it or refund you.
