Rendered on the GPU from our own shader code. The download has both colorways as 4K MP4s, 4K stills and an After Effects project.
About this loop
Wide horizontal bands of large pixel blocks drift sideways on a slight diagonal, like a photograph pixel-sorted into rows. Each band takes its own slice of a soft color field, breaks it into flat blocks of its own width and slides at its own speed, so the blocks shift color as they travel. Moving edges carry a little motion blur and the frame has fine film grain. Comes in an ember colorway (near-black, deep reds and cream with a few signal-red blocks) and a tide one (ink navy, teal, sea glass and bone).
Questions
What are the two colorways?
Ribbon Warp comes in ember (gold and rose on near-black) and silver (silver-white with a teal accent). Pixel Bands comes in ember (near-black, deep reds and cream) and tide (ink navy, teal, sea glass and bone). Ink Smear comes in forest (deep green, ochre and black on bone) and indigo (indigo ink on bone). Both colorways are in every download.
How do they loop?
Every moving part repeats exactly every 20 seconds, so the last frame flows into the first with no jump. Set your player to loop, or place copies end to end.
Will my lyrics be readable?
Ribbon Warp keeps dark open space to the left and right of its narrow center, so short lyric lines read well across the middle. Pixel Bands and Ink Smear are bright and busy across the whole frame: use them for walk-in, countdowns, bumpers and social posts, or put lyrics on a solid lower-third bar.
What can I change?
Each loop's After Effects project has a comp per colorway with Speed (whole numbers keep the loop intact), Brightness, Hue Shift, Glow and Vignette. The picture itself is rendered into the movie.
What can I play them in?
Anything that plays an .mp4: ProPresenter, Resolume, EasyWorship, OBS, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve. The After Effects projects need After Effects 2023 or newer. No plugins.
Can I buy one loop?
No. The loops are sold as one pack. They're also included in Launchframe Unlimited.
Can I use them in services and client work?
Yes. Use them in services, events, livestreams and client work, including monetized video. You can't resell or share the files themselves.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Email hello@launchframe.io within 14 days and I'll fix it or refund you.
