Rendered on the GPU from our own shader code. The download has both colorways as 4K MP4s, 4K stills and an After Effects project.
About this loop
Light from a high window, thrown down across a dark wall at a raking angle. Above the frame, the sun catches a long rippled strip with a thin film on it, like a soap film, and reflects onto the wall as broad soft rays that gather where the ripples focus them. Each ray takes its color from the film, and waves running along the film send a slow shimmer down every beam. The middle of the frame stays calmer. Comes in a rose teal colorway (rose, teal and gold on warm black) and a mono one (smoky blue-grey).
Questions
What are the two colorways?
Six designs come in cool (white light on blue-black) and warm (golden light on umber). Prism Light comes in warm and mono, Light Warp in peach and teal, and Light Through Film in rose teal and mono. Both colorways are in every download.
How do they loop?
Every moving part repeats exactly every 20 seconds, so the last frame flows into the first with no jump. Set your player to loop, or place copies end to end.
Will my lyrics be readable?
Melted Prism and Titanium Ripple keep the middle dark, made for white lyrics. Arch Light keeps the top of the frame dark and Iridescent Swell keeps its upper half open, so set lyrics high. Prism Through Reeds, Prism Light and Light Through Film are soft enough for lyrics with a drop shadow. Light Warp leaves dark space above and below its bright middle, so set lyrics high or low. Film Curtain carries color across the whole frame: use it for walk-in and moments without text.
What can I change?
Each loop's After Effects project has a comp per colorway with Speed (whole numbers keep the loop intact), Brightness, Hue Shift, Glow and Vignette. The picture itself is rendered into the movie.
What can I play them in?
Anything that plays an .mp4: ProPresenter, Resolume, EasyWorship, OBS, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve. The After Effects projects need After Effects 2023 or newer. No plugins.
Can I buy one loop?
No. The loops are sold as one pack. They're also included in Launchframe Unlimited.
Can I use them in services and client work?
Yes. Use them in services, events, livestreams and client work, including monetized video. You can't resell or share the files themselves.
What if it doesn't work for me?
